May brings beautiful flowers, and is the time for honouring those special moms in our lives. Show the moms you work with every day how much they are appreciated. And learn ways to incorporate holidays and celebrations into your business.
Celebrating your mom clientele
Send a special card/discount/gift to all the moms on your patient/client list. Write down your ideas on the post-it notes. Pick one, enter it on the calendar and do it.
Blogging about mom For your business
Coming up with blog post ideas can be tricky. Use relevant topics/events/holidays that are important to your clientele as writing prompts, which can be an excellent way of attracting new readers who might not otherwise have found you. Pick an article topic for every two week period (at least) to write about on your blog – use guest posts if two per month is too much to write. If you’re already posting more than one article per month, schedule them to publish throughout the month. Promote the articles through social media at least two times per week and through your email newsletter. Schedule these topics and promotion events on the calendar from now to at least the end of September. Mother’s Day is a great topic for this month if it is relevant to your clientele, and has a genuine connection to your service.

April is the perfect time to focus on renewal, so this month is all about growth and moving forward.
Spring Rebirth For your clientele
Schedule a ‘tune-up’ service in your area of expertise. It can be an in-person workshop, presentation at the library, luncheon seminar, or online webinar – anything that you can do with minimal effort and broad appeal. Write down ideas on the post-it notes. Pick one, schedule it on the calendar and make it happen!
Spring Rebirth For your business
Pick one social media platform that best fits your target audience – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, or Instagram – and either create an account, or get more involved. Build a following by spending 10 to 15 minutes per day on the chosen platform. Make a date on the calendar to spend on the setup.

March is the time to start thinking about coming out of hibernation, and looking forward to the winter thaw. This month’s focus is on evaluating what’s working so far this year, and what could use some adjustments.
Winter Thaw For your clientele
Check in on your clients’ progress with their new year’s goals. Did your steps in January make a difference? Renew commitment to support them. Write down ideas on the post-it notes. Pick one, enter it on the calendar and do it.

This should include website statistics, gross revenue, growth in clientele, amount of return visits or repeat business, number of referrals, and advertising spend. Save this information as a benchmark for comparison at the end of this year, and plan to toast your success as you ring in 2018!
